In Flight

Just after launch from KLIA, i noticed a mushroom shaped building. can you notify it, located in putrajaya. nice isnt it from the sky view.. well, i've worked in putrajaya before. so then, the flight was about 4 hours, luckily i have plenty of entertainment in this MAS Boeing 747, but then i was a little frustrated bcause not much intereseting movies or show is offered.. then, i even fell asleep for about an hour maybe bcause lack of sleep the night before and boring of course.
then, i was about to land at Taipei international airport (Taoyuan airport), the views are quite moderate with mostly rice fields near the airport area. still cant see any sign of highrise buildings (especially the Taipei101).
so then, i landed, quite a smooth ride actually. though there were times like riding a roller coater in the sky when going through the heavy clouds. after landed, i filled the disembarkation card before going through the immigration. damn, i wondered it was supposed to be given to me or filled during the flight, but then, would you expect a malay guy to transit to taipei where the probability would maybe only be around 0.1%. goshh. what the hell.. so after filling em, i proceed to the immigration. quite long queue. FYI, no visa needed for my entry to taipei for this short visit.
after the immigration process, i went to through the baggage claim (though i didnt check in any, hand luggage only). just a walkthrough.

ok. finally i arrived at the open air of taipei. Now what??....

mmmm there's no train yet from the airport, while the taxi is told quite expensive.
so my first and most prefered choice would be.. BUS. hahahah
=) ok. so i've read in the net, that the most reliable bus transit to town is Kuo Kuang Bus. yup, this bus. so i went to the bus area in the airport and searched for kuo kuang. very easy to find actually, because it's the bus with the longest and the only queue. yeeaaaahh.. so i bought a ticket for TWD125 about RM12.50. quite cheap actually and boarded the bus after about 30minutes queuing. the ride was quite moderate, the bus condition so-so. the bus is much longer than the usual bus in malaysia. i expected a short ride, however, it took about an hour over to reach the town. damn. i even fell asleep in the bus.. A smooth ride it is.

Launch to Taipei

So i departed to taipei from klia on 22/3/08. I was quite rushing, at the beginning i tried to plan well, but coming near to the date, i was so so busy with my work.. so the preparation was not 100% well. However, i did bring on with me quite an amount of money and of course, my creditcards. So, i dont worry much, bcause money can buy almost everything. Right? =)

So i carried with me a hiking bag (borrowed) so that i can be like a real traveller (with sore shoulders).
The plan at taipei is like this:

transportation = bus or MRT
accomodation = adhoc
food = adhoc

Such a vey nice plan isnt it?
(like no plan)

hahahah adventure laaa..

Plan Trip oversea

during early january 2008, i've noticed i've collected quite some points for my MAS Enrich loyalty membership points. most of the points i collected during my previous placement that involved me to quite a number of overseas trips. Nice. so i guess i should use those point before they expire. so i looked into the enrich newsletter and saw promotion to afew countries such as Tokyo, Seoul and Taipei. I've been to tokyo before, so maybe seoul or taipei. so i did a little bit of research and some thinking... seoul is maybe better if i go on a honeymoon, but this is a just a lonely fun trip. so maybe i'll try taipei. by the way, i was quite alarmed that a lot of the cheap-cheap products in the market had a "made in taipe" marked on it. ok so maybe taipei..

so then, i checked my dates, Mac or April 2008 maybe suitable dates. so finally i booked my flight tickets through MAS with RM348 taxes that i have to pay. so taipei, here i come..

=)
